Perfect Imperfections
Well well, the song of John Legend was playing in the background and I was feeling so depressed about what I could produce on a piece of paper. The so called art is something I’m not too shy to share in this perfect world. The 19 year old me used to be want a prince from a fairy tale who could just be handsome, hot with a perfect body and perfect smile never even thought about the heart. If at all, I could just tell that pathin paruva* anon(my pen name), I would be like “don’t wait it to be perfect and you’ll never find one”. This reminds me of a folklore that tells about the disciples asking a Guru(Teacher) what is bigger and better. He sends the disciples to a corn field to find the bigger corn and by the night fall they were still searching. The Guru told that the human heart is never complacent and wants more and more. That doesn’t mean to settle for less, just look for someone who has qualities that you like and most of the love that could be reciprocated. There’s this famous saying, if you love someone, set them free - you want someone whom you can set them free. See them when they’re stressed, see them after they wake up, see them quarrel, see them when they lose their chill, see them when they search for the bike keys, see them when they’re clumsy, see them mad. Because that is what lives for ever, not the first day’s honey dipped conversation which doesn’t last well past that day. In a Tamil movie named Kandukondain Kandukondain by Rajeev Menon, the actor Mammooka says “ellam indha azhagum ilamayum irukura varaikkum thaan”*. I don’t want to flaunt by showing you all my master piece, my sexiness, my perfection, my better side, I want you to see a piece of that could fit the missing piece of your puzzle. If there are missing pieces, let’s build the whole lego set one by one slowly alas Rome wasn’t built in a day. All these thoughts were storming my mind and Mr.Legend hit the chord.
"All your perfect imperfections. All of you loves all of me. All of me loves all of you!"
This made me realize “No-one is perfect and I am no one!” I’m perfect with my perfect imperfections.

ReplyDeleteWahhhh 👌🏻 Maybe its meant for me to hear this!!
First of all kudos to you that it was brilliant and moderate.
ReplyDeletebut I felt there are few sentence formations seemed a bit forced and it didn't glide through well as you might have presumed I guess.
It was a great blog which resonates with every gay man ideally.
I mean it's my opinion and everybody got their opinion.
Perfect is a phantom which haunts you and terrorizes every decision you make. Don't bide your time in trying to become something which is superficial if not it can kill you brutal.
Enjoy the ride full of imperfections. Enjoy the life to the fullest while you can and be unbothered about the things you don't have control on. Just give into the thrill of life it can lead you to ecstasy whether you find the love of your life or not. sometimes a puzzle is better unsolved.
Lastly, I hate "All of Me" by John Legend. One of the most overrated songs in my opinion.
Guess who am I ? from your social circle. I bet you would fail in this trail. LOL.
